Hopewell Police Investigate Home Invasion Robbery

On May 30, 2016 at approximately 1:47am, officers responded to the 800 Block of Crestline Blvd. for a reported home invasion robbery that had just occurred. The investigation revealed that the victim encountered the two armed offenders as he exited the front door of his residence. The offenders then forced the victim back into his residence at gunpoint and stole U.S. currency and electronics before assaulting the victim and fleeing the scene on foot. The victim sustained a very minor injury during the incident which required no medical treatment. The offenders are described as:

 Offender #1: B/M with a dark complexion, 25-30 YOA, 5’6”-5’7”,with a dreadlock style haircut. He was last seen wearing camouflaged cargo pants with a dark colored t-shirt and displaying a silver in color handgun.

 Offender #2: B/M, 25-30 YOA, 5’4”-5’6”,with a short afro-style haircut. He was last seen wearing a white in color t-shirt with dark sleeves, dark colored jeans and displaying a dark colored handgun.

 The Hopewell Police Department continues to investigate this matter and is requesting that any person(s) who have information regarding this crime or who may have been traveling in and around the area of this incident and observed any suspicious person(s) or vehicle(s) contact the Hopewell Police Department at (804) 541-2222.
