**Suspect in 7-Eleven Robbery Arrested**

[Hopewell, VA] – On December 11, 2016 at approximately 9:39 p.m., officers responded to the 7-Eleven convenience store located at 3301 Oaklawn Boulevard for an armed robbery that had just occurred.

 

 

Security images from the business were disseminated to media outlets in the greater Richmond area. Through investigation and with the assistance of Crime solvers tips the offender was identified as Mr. Vince Nicholas, age 23. Warrants for Armed robbery, Use of a firearm in the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a firearm by Convicted Felon were obtained. On December 14, 2016, Mr. Nicholas was arrested without incident by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force in the City of Petersburg.

 

“The U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, of which the Hopewell Police Department is a member, continues to be a valuable asset in the apprehension of fugitives,” said Capt. Michael Whittington.
