[Hopewell, VA] – On December 04, 2016 at approximately 9:11 p.m., officers responded to the Golden Express convenience store located at 100 South 15th Avenue for an armed robbery that had just occurred. The preliminary investigation revealed that the lone offender entered the business, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency, the offender then fled the business on foot. No persons were harmed during the incident.
The offender is described as a W/M, 5’8”-6’0” tall with a medium build. He was last seen wearing a camouflage full head covering, camouflage pants, a dark colored jacket or sweat shirt, hiking boots, blue latex gloves and in possession of a silver in color handgun.
