Police seek convenience store robbery suspect

[Hopewell, VA] – On August 29, 2016 at approximately 3:15am, officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 2014 W. Broadway St. for a reported robbery that had just occurred. The investigation revealed that the lone offender entered the business and demanded money from the clerk. The offender then fled the business on foot with an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency. No weapon was displayed during the incident and no person(s) were injured.

The offender is described as a W/M, 35-40 YOA, 5’9”-6’0”, 165-175 pounds,with light brown/red in color hair, a mustache and beard. The offender also has tattoos on both upper forearms. He was last seen wearing a dark colored t-shirt with the word “Fresh” written on the front, dark colored shorts, socks and sandals.

The Hopewell Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit continues to investigate this matter and is following up on viable leads.
